Covid Policy

Shaking the Tree is committed to keeping you safe when you attend a live event, class, or workshop at our theatre

Attendees are no longer required to be fully vaccinated in order to attend a performance, class, or workshop at StT.
All attendees are required to be masked when entering the building.

What you can expect from Shaking the Tree

To improve indoor air quality and make our indoor environment safer, we have a merv 13 filter in our A/C unit, an indoor air monitor, 8 air purifiers which we will run during rehearsals, classes, and performances. 

​Please keep an eye on this page as things evolve.

Covid Waiver

If you book tickets to see a Shaking the Tree production, or sign up for one of our classes, or workshops, you will be required to agree to the following Covid Waiver:

I am aware of the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and the risk that I may be exposed to or contract COVID-19 by being at Shaking the Tree Theatre (the “Business”), located at 823 SE Grant St. (the “Premises”) and viewing the current play (the “Activity”).

I acknowledge that I am voluntarily entering the Premises to engage in the Activity with knowledge of the danger involved. I hereby agree to accept and assume all risks of personal injury, illness, disability, or death related to COVID-19, arising from my being on the Premises or engaging in the Activity, whether caused by negligence of the Business or otherwise.

I hereby expressly waive and release any and all claims, now known or hereafter known, against the Business and its owners, employees, affiliates, and officers, on account of injury, illness, disability, or death arising out of or attributable to my being on the Premises or engaging in the Activity and being exposed to or contracting COVID-19, whether arising out of the negligence of the Business, its owners, employees, affiliates, officers, or otherwise.

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD ALL OF THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND THAT I AM VOLUNTARILY GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.

Look for the Big Blue Warehouse!

​Shaking the Tree is in a warehouse space on the NW corner of SE 9th Ave and SE Grant St. The entrance is located just off the courtyard.
