Shaking the Tree is surrounded by free street parking spots on SE 8th Ave, 9th Ave, Grant St, and neighboring streets.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY BIKE
Bikers can store their bikes in Shaking the Tree’s office or courtyard. Both spaces will be behind locked doors/gates for the duration of the performance.

IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY PUBLIC TRANSIT
TriMet Bus: The closest bus stops are on the 10 Bus at the SE 7th & Harrison Stop and the SE Division & 8th Stop. Both are about a 5-minute walk from the theatre.

TriMet MAX Light Rail: The closest light rail stations are on the B Loop Streetcar at the SE Grand & Mill Stop, and on the Orange Line at the OMSI / SE Water Station and the Clinton Street / SE 12th Ave Station. All are about a 10-minute walk from the theatre.

ADA ACCESSIBILITY
Parking
There is an unofficial accessible parking space directly in front of the large gate entrance/driveway on SE Grant St. Please feel free to park in that spot until our official ADA parking spot is established with the city. There is a sloped entrypoint to the sidewalk from there.

Entry
The main entrances to both the theatre and the office are accessible to wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids.

Check-In
Patrons can opt out of checking in at the office before the show by checking in at the theatre entrance instead.

If you would like to limit travel between the 2 spaces and set up an alternative check-in, please contact the box office prior to the show.

Seating
Shaking the Tree can reserve seats for patrons who would like to be seated at ground level to avoid stairs, or near the restroom or entrance/exit to the theatre. Seating arrangements can also be adjusted to fit wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids, as the seats in the theatre are removable.

If you would like to reserve a seat or request space for a mobility aid, please contact the box office prior to the show.

Restrooms
Shaking the Tree has 2 gender inclusive, accessible restrooms in the office and 1 gender inclusive accessible restroom in the theatre. The restroom in the theatre is open for use for the duration of the performance.

Please email the box office with any further questions you might have regarding accessibility.
