Stage combat is more than just fighting onstage. As a fight choreographer I have found that it’s the moments you least expect (ex: the playful shove, the desperate wrist grab, the intense hug), these are the moments that require the same amount of thought and choreography as the sword fighting or brawl scene. In stage combat for the artist we will explore the basics of unarmed stage combat along with some vocabulary you can take with you into any physical scene.
