Shaking the Tree is a wonderful rental space for performances, classes, workshops and other events, and is available for rent when we are not presenting a show.
2021 Rental Rates
Shaking the rentals are free to BIPOC performers, artists & performance groups.
All other prices are listed below: Performances (Including load in & technical rehearsals) $1100 Per week for one or multiple weeks (rentals run Monday - Sunday)
Our theatre seats 50 audience members (option to up the amount of seats)
There is the ability to configure stage and audience seating to your needs
Rental includes the use of STT lighting and sound equipment
You have full access to the space except when STT classes are running (typically Monday - Thursday afternoons from 3-6:00pm, and Saturday afternoons, during the school year. And mornings from 9am-1pm during the summer months)
The dressing room houses 11 actors
There is access to coffee pot, tea kettle, microwave & mini fridge
(A refundable damage deposit of $500 will be added and refunded to you within four weeks of your rental end date, if everything was left as found)
Rehearsals, workshops, classes & other events Access to coffee pot, tea kettle, microwave & mini fridge We will work with you to make sure you have the open floor space you need
Rehearsals- $75 for the first hour + $15 per additional hour
Classes- $100 for the first hour + $20 per additional hour
Workshops- $150 per day
Performances-$275 per night (weekdays) / $375 per night (weekends)
Party/Event- $1100 (includes whole day use for set up) $500 equipment set-up fee (*use of sound and lights included, if needed. Set up by STT) $250 cleaning fee + $250 refundable damage deposit required

Shaking the Tree is in a warehouse space on the NW corner of SE 9th Ave and SE Grant St. The entrance is located just off the parking lot. You are welcome to park in the lot if there is space.
